Our Company Profile

Bawany Air Products Limited (the Company) is a public limited company incorporated in Pakistan on August 16, 1978. The Company is currently listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited.

The Company is an investment company. Its principal activities are to invest in and acquire and hold and otherwise deal in shares, stock, debenture, debenture stock, bonds, obligations and securities issued or guaranteed. The Company seeks returns for shareholders through market investments and through acquisition and ownership of businesses.

In line with this strategy, the Company has acquired 100% shareholding in Alman Seyyam Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Limited (ASSML), which is now a wholly owned subsidiary. ASSML is developing a sugarcane crushing project at Dera Ismail Khan. Through such acquisitions and investments, the Company aims to strengthen its asset base and generate returns, including in the form of dividends, for its shareholders.

    Naim Anwar

    Mr. Naim Anwar brings with him over 40 years of professional experience, including more than 30 years in senior roles within the insurance and financial sector. He has held key leadership positions at Adamjee Insurance Ltd. as Executive Director and Picic Insurance Ltd. as Deputy Managing Director, before assuming the role of Managing Director & CEO at Crescent Star Insurance Limited (CSIL) in 2013.

    As CEO & Chairperson of Bawany Air Products Limited, Mr. Anwar guides the Company’s strategic direction, corporate governance, and long-term growth as a listed investment company. His industry knowledge spans sales, operations, reinsurance, underwriting & claims, risk management, and corporate affairs.

    He has actively contributed to the development of Pakistan’s insurance sector, serving on the Executive Committee and Technical Committees of the Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP), including a term as Vice Chairman, and as Chairman of the Pakistan Insurance Institute (PII). With an ACCA background, he is a graduate of the Government College of Commerce & Economics, Karachi, a Certified Director from ICMA, and an alumnus of INSEAD Business School, Singapore (Leadership for Results Program).

    Munir Ismail

    Mr. Munir Ismail has overall professional experience of about 25 years with Bawany Air Products Limited. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary; his tenure with the Company spans roles and responsibilities beyond these present designations.

    In his current capacity, he oversees financial reporting, statutory compliance, board secretariat matters, and coordination with regulators and the stock exchange. He supports the Board and management in maintaining sound financial controls, transparent disclosure, and effective corporate governance across the Company’s investment activities.

    Muhammad Arsalan Sabir

    Arsalan Sabir is Financial Analyst at Bawany Air Products Limited. He supports investment analysis, financial modelling, and review of market and portfolio performance for the Company’s investment strategy.
